Watershed Mine Site camp rules
Please read the camp rules below, then complete the acknowledgement at the end.
1. Purpose & scope
This document sets out the mandatory standards of conduct, safety requirements, accommodation rules and behavioural expectations for employees, contractors and stakeholders using the Watershed camp accommodation facilities.
All occupants must comply with these rules and any reasonable instructions issued by the Camp Manager, Registered Manager or authorised delegate.
A breach of these rules or misconduct may result in withdrawal of accommodation and/or other disciplinary action in accordance with company policies, procedures, values and code of conduct.
2. General camp requirements
- Unauthorised persons are not permitted to visit or stay in the camp. Overnight visitors are prohibited.
- Occupants must check in at the camp administration office for their room allocation at the beginning of each rotation. Occupants should sign out at the administration office and return their key at the end of their rotation. A $20 charge applies for keys that are lost or not returned.
- All camp occupants are required to behave respectfully and professionally while in camp including in accommodation, recreational areas, dining facilities, buses, vehicles and other camp facilities. Unreasonable, threatening, intimidating, humiliating, abusive, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
- All areas must be left clean and tidy. Rubbish, bottles and cans must be placed in the correct bins and plates and cutlery returned to the mess.
- Excessively dirty or untidy rooms may not be serviced and may result in cancellation or withdrawal of accommodation.
- Fighting within the camp is not tolerated and may result in accommodation being withdrawn for all parties involved, and further disciplinary action.
- Offensive or pornographic material is not tolerated where it may be seen by others, including personnel servicing accommodation.
- Possession and use of firearms, dangerous weapons and hunting equipment is prohibited in the camp, surrounding pastoral area and mining leases.
- Personal property is the occupant's responsibility. Occupants are encouraged to maintain appropriate private insurance for loss or damage.
- Inappropriate behaviour should be reported the Camp Manager, Registered Manager, authorised delegate or the persons direct manager.
3. Fitness for work, drugs & alcohol
- The camp operates under a strict drug-free and controlled-alcohol policy.
- Random, blanket or for-cause drug and alcohol testing may be conducted using urine, saliva or breath testing.
- All residents must undergo mandatory breath alcohol testing prior to pre-start or entering operational areas. A BAC above 0.00% will result in immediate stand-down and investigation.
- Illicit drugs: any occupant who uses or possesses illicit drugs is subject to immediate and permanent removal from site, and further discipline.
- Self-testing: a voluntary self-testing breathalyser is available in the Laundry.
- Room Alcohol Restrictions: It is recommended that residents only consume four (4) light alcohol beverages each day, inside or directly outside their personal room ('donga'), prior to camp curfew as below:
- Allowed: Mid-strength or light beer, wine, and pre-mixed with an Alcohol by Volume (ABV) 3.5% or less.
- Prohibited: Full-strength beer, wine, spirits, and pre-mixed high-alcohol beverages.
4. Smoking, e-cigarettes & vaping
- Smoking, e-cigarettes and vaping are prohibited inside accommodation rooms, all camp buildings, common facilities, pathways and under covered/roofed areas.
- Smoking is only permitted in the 2 designated smoking areas.
- All cigarette butts must be disposed of in the receptacles provided.
5. Accommodation, cleaning & laundry
- On the day of check out please have your room packed and vacated by 8am. If you are working that day, you can store your bags in the theatre room at camp before you go on to site that morning. Check in will be after 2pm.
- Rooms must be kept clean and tidy to allow housekeeping personnel safe access for scheduled linen changes and vacuuming.
- Laundry facilities and laundry powder are provided for occupants and must be used with appropriate care.
- Lint catchers must be cleaned before each wash/dry cycle.
- Housekeeping and camp management may be required to enter rooms upon knocking and / or notice of the requirement to enter.
- Occupants must report maintenance issues and respect other occupants' belongings and general tidiness.
6. Curfew, quiet hours & noise
- A strict 10:00 PM camp curfew applies to all residents. The security guard will be involved in any situation where entry is required after the curfew.
- For safety and accountability, all residents must sign in and out with the camp security guard whenever entering or leaving the camp premises.
- Door slamming, loud music, excessive noise and heavy foot traffic are prohibited to ensure a restful environment.
- Excessive or unnecessary noise in the gym, including music, is also prohibited.
7. Mess hall & dining
Dry Mess trading hours: 5:00 AM-7:00 AM and 5.30 PM-7:30 PM.
- Persons using the mess facilities must be clean and appropriately dressed.
- Soiled high-vis work clothing, muddy boots, greasy overalls and hard hats are not permitted in dining facilities. Clean casual wear or clean work uniforms must be worn. Singlets are not permitted
- No hot food is to be taken out of the Mess Hall unless otherwise authorised for dietary requirements.
- Alcohol is prohibited in the Mess Hall.
- Misconduct in the Mess Hall or abuse of catering employees is not tolerated and may result in withdrawal of accommodation or disciplinary action.
8. Vehicles & facility safety
- Camp vehicle speed limits, within the camp gates, is restricted to 10 km/h due to pedestrian volumes.
- All vehicles must be reverse parked into designated bays to support safe forward movement during emergency evacuations.
- Disciplinary action may be taken against anyone found tampering with camp safety equipment.
9. Health, safety & emergency response
First Aid requirements in the Camp should be directed to the first aid qualified person on call. The first aid room is located next to the Laundry

Employee / Contractor / Stakeholder Declaration: I acknowledge that I have received, read and understood the Watershed Mine Site Camp Rules. I agree to comply with the requirements, including fitness-for-work requirements, accommodation standards, smoking restrictions, curfew and noise requirements, security procedures and facility safety rules. I understand that failure to comply with these requirements or unacceptable standards of behaviour, dress or hygiene may result in withdrawal of accommodation and/or further disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment in accordance with applicable company requirements. I understand that the Company reserves the right to amend these conditions from time to time, subject to applicable requirements.
How we use your information
Bluebush Pty Ltd (ABN 62 701 572 634) collects the information on this form: your full name, email address, mobile number, company or employer, your signature, the date and time you submit it, and the version of the camp rules you acknowledged.
We collect it to record that you have read and agreed to the camp rules, which is a condition of staying at the camp, and to show the camp's operator (our client for this site) that everyone staying has done so.
- Your acknowledgement is stored in Bluebush's Microsoft 365 environment. It can be seen by Bluebush staff who manage the camp and by our client for this site.
- Your information is stored in Australia and isn't sent overseas.
- We don't use it for marketing and we don't sell it.
- Your IP address is used briefly to limit repeated submissions and isn't stored with your acknowledgement.
- If you'd rather not provide this information online, you can complete the printed form at camp administration instead.
